Austin American-Statesman Names New VP of Advertising


Scott Pompe is the new vice president advertising for Cox Media Group’s (CMG) Statesman Media Company, Austin’s leading media business with a portfolio of products and services that includes the Austin American-Statesman, Austin360, and numerous print and digital products, applications and events.

In this role, Pompe will lead all advertising revenue efforts and go-to-market sales strategies for Statesman Media.  He joins the company on June 30.

Prior to joining Statesman Media, in a career that has spanned more than 23 years, Pompe held senior level positions with various companies in the media industry including the Desert Sun Media Group (Palm Springs, Calif.), The Los Angeles Times Media Group, Journal Communications/Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, ADVO and Sundance Broadcasting.  He also has worked with various startup companies in the technology, software, and mobile media space.
