PGOA Media announced the appointment of Andrew Becks as vice president of audience development, the first position of its kind for the media company, owner of American Profile, Relish, Spry, Money Living and Daily Parent, which last week sold the rights to publish its print publications American Profile, Relish and Spry to Athlon Sports Communications. Becks begins his position immediately.
Prior to joining PGOA Media, Becks was director of audience development at Scripps Network responsible for developing customer acquisition and engagement strategies for Food.com, CookingChannelTV.com as well as FoodNetwork.com. He also co-founded 84 & 85, a digital marketing and technology consulting firm, specializing in CRM solution development and deployment, email marketing, search engine optimization and digital marketing strategy for small to mid-size businesses. He began his career at Ruby Tuesday, last serving as manager of marketing technology, responsible for the development and daily operations of the company’s digital marketing platform. Becks graduated from Nova Southeastern University with an MS in Management Leadership.
“Andrew is an outstanding engagement strategist and top-notch digital professional who understands what consumers want and need. No doubt, he’ll make significant contributions to the growth of our PGOA audiences as we continue to grow as a content company,” said John Cobb III, PGOA Media CEO.
Last week, PGOA Media announced a partnership agreement with Athlon Sports Communications for Athlon to acquire the rights to publish American Profile, Relish, and Spry magazines. PGOA Media retained the digital properties of the three brands—americanprofile.com, relish.com and spryliving.com—as well as its other web properties, moneyliving.com, dailyparent.com, PGOA Studios, the Relish Daily Dish mobile app and the Relish tablet edition.
