The Philadelphia Inquirer, under new management and out of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring, has a new editor, Stan Wischnowski.
Wischnowski, who oversaw the paper’s front page for a decade and had been serving as interim editor since October, is the Inquirer’s fifth editor in 10 years. Gregory J. Osberg, the new publisher, made the announcement as the staff gathered for a holiday party on Tuesday.
Wischnowski has been with The Inquirer for a decade and held various positions at metropolitan daily newspapers across the country, including The Detroit News and The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle
