Reuters has named David Rohde as a columnist writing on foreign affairs and globalization. The Pulitzer Prize winning journalist is a 15-year veteran of The New York Times, where he worked as an investigative reporter, South Asia bureau co-chief and metropolitan news reporter. He also served as an Eastern Europe correspondent for The Christian Science Monitor, a suburban correspondent for The Philadelphia Inquirer and a production associate at ABC News. His stories for The Christian Science Monitor on the Srebrenica massacre in Bosnia won the 1996 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting. He received his second Pulitzer Prize when he and a team of reporters at The New York Times won for their reporting from Afghanistan and Pakistan in 2009. The following year his series on his seven months in Taliban captivity was named a Pulitzer Prize finalist.
