TownNews.com announced that it has appointed Rick Rogers as the company’s vice president of sales.
“I’m thrilled that Rick will be leading our sales and marketing team,” said Marc Wilson, TownNews.com chairman and CEO. “Our growth over the past few years has been extremely strong, and we believe that Rick will help propel us to the next level. He’s an experienced leader with a proven track record who is totally committed to our partners’—and the industry’s— success.”
Rogers is an industry veteran with more than two decades of newspaper and broadcast media experience. He joined TownNews.com as a regional sales manager in January of 2016. Prior to joining TownNews.com, he served as a senior group publisher at GateHouse Media, where he led the award-winning GateHouse Southwest Division, managing more than 20 publications and 250 staffers across the state of Texas.
Rogers’ career includes stints as regional publisher for GateHouse Media in southwest Missouri, as well as serving as vice president of operations for American Consolidated Media, formerly based in Irving, Texas. At ACM, Rogers led the company’s initiative to install TownNews.com’s BLOX Total CMS product for its regional pagination studios in Maryland, Ohio and the Southwest.
“With the help of our experienced and knowledgeable staff, it will be our goal at TownNews.com to continue to be the industry standard for our newspaper and media partners when it comes to the digital media and services space,” Rogers said. “We do not look at our company as a vendor in the industry, nor do we look at the newspapers and broadcast companies we work with as customers. We are partners, and it is our mission to help them increase their digital audience and revenues by offering the innovative technology and software that TownNews.com can provide.”
