Rob Kearley has been named the Corporate Circulation Director for D-R Media. In his expanded role Kearly will oversee the distribution of all of our printed products in Highlands, Polk, Lake, Lee and Sumter counties.
Kearly’s career in the newspaper business began at the Daytona Beach (Fla.) News-Journal in 1980 as a customer service representative and, he worked practically every circulation position at the newspaper until 1993 when he was named circulation director.
Kearley joined Gannett Company Inc. in 1996 and during his tenure was circulation director of the News-Star in Monroe, Louisiana, Shreveport (La.) Times and the News-Press in Fort Myers Fla. In 2003, Kearley was named circulation director of The Fayetteville (N.C.) Observer.
In 2012, he was hired by Sun Coast Media and named circulation director of the Venice (Fla.) Gondolier Sun. In 2017, Kearley transferred to the Highlands News-Sun and has served in that position ever since.
