William Toler Named Editor of the Richmond Daily Journal

William Toler has been named editor of the Richmond (N.C.) Daily Journal. He has spent the last two years as a reporter for the newspaper.

In 2005, Toler started a newspaper, the Independent Register, which closed because of lack of advertising during the recession.

He went on to work a year as a reporter at the Beaufort Observer, in Washington, N.C., and then spent a few months as a copy writer for an advertising agency before working almost seven years at the ABC and FOX affiliate in New Bern, N.C. as a video editor and videographer.

Toler came to Richmond County as a reporter for the Daily Journal in June 2014.
