This is sort of perverse logic, don't you think? Shouldn't we be striving, in the name of diversity, to lower disproportionate maternal mortality, rather than solving the problem by eliminating non-white births?

All the Supreme Court said is that judges cannot create rights. Only the legislative process can do that. This is why the amendment mechanism was established in the Constitution. By amendment, rights can evolve at whatever pace the voters wish them to evolve. Now, if the voters choose life, then they are obligated to protect that life by providing sufficient medical care and social support mechanisms for mothers and children.
