The Financial Times is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its iconic Lunch with the FT interview series by launching a free-to-read “The Best of Lunch with the FT” newsletter.
Over eight weeks, U.S. newsletter editor Emily Goldberg will dive back into the FT archives and pick out some of the most memorable lunches.
Lunch with the FT began in 1994 and has since become an institution. From movie stars to mavericks and moguls, the series has seen prominent figures interviewed over an intimate lunch with an FT journalist. There are only two rules: the guest picks the restaurant, and the FT pays the bill.
FT Weekend editor Janine Gibson said: “For three decades, Lunch with the FT has delivered fascinating interviews through an unparalleled format, giving readers a unique glimpse of the who’s who of our times. We’re delighted to share some of the most entertaining and extraordinary reads in this new series.”
The Best of the Lunch with the FT newsletter will arrive in inboxes at 1 p.m. UK time every Sunday between Sept. 29 and Nov. 17. For the duration of the newsletter series, subscribers will also receive the weekly FT Weekend newsletter for free. Find out more and sign up here.
