We are thrilled to announce that Guy Griggs will become our new VP of National Sales.

In this role, Guy will be responsible for all U.S. sales and agency partnerships. His strong client and agency relationships will help the sales team build business opportunities across the country.

Guy joined The Times in May of 2017 as the Head of Revenue for HelloSociety and Fake Love, the influencer and experiential agencies that were acquired by The New Times Company in 2016. He spent the balance of that year overseeing partnerships and sales for both companies, focusing on innovative collaborations with The Times’s ad sales team. He then moved to New York Times Advertising in 2018 as an Executive Advertising Director, managing the auto, tech, entertainment and financial services verticals out of New York, earning the "Executive Director of The Year" award. In addition to managing those verticals, Guy took on the Client Services department in 2019 and reimagined the team and its culture. In 2020, Guy assumed the role of Head of Industry — Financial Services, where he was awarded the ‘Head of Industry (HOI) of The Year’ award.

Guy’s passion for The New York Times extends beyond his contributions to the ad team and, as programming chair of the steering committee for the Black@NYT ERG, Guy led the ambitious planning and execution of powerful company events. Prior to joining The Times, Guy led the New York sales team of The Washington Post, and before that was an account executive at CNN International and Bloomberg L.P.
