Aditi Shrikant joins personal finance team at MarketWatch

Please join me in giving a warm welcome to another new hire joining our personal finance team.

Aditi Shrikant, who was most recently lead reporter covering relationships and psychology for CNBC's “Make It,” will be our new advice columnist and personal finance reporter. She has written about why rich people make Venmo requests for tiny amounts of money, and what's behind the rise in “divorce parties.”

Shrikant was previously a consumer spending reporter at CNBC and also worked at Vox, where she sought to answer a question that might have crossed your mind: why every car commercial mentions J.D. Power & Associates.

She is a native Texan who loves spicy food and really slow movies. Shrikant will start on Thursday, May 22.
