American Bar Association webinar Thursday (Dec. 5) on legality of gag rules

This Thursday,  Dec 5, a session from the American Bar Association will feature a panel on gag rules or “Censorship by PIO.” https://www.americanbar.org/events-cle/mtg/web/447684880/ 

It will be moderated by Frank LoMonte, long-time First Amendment attorney and expert on gag rules.

“The Supreme Court has made clear that public employees do not forfeit their First Amendment rights in exchange for a paycheck. But that has not stopped government agencies at all levels, from Cabinet-level departments to the smallest county school districts, from threatening employees with discipline if they speak publicly about work-related matters.”
