Vox Media, the leader in modern media, today announced that Brian Leung has been named general counsel, and will oversee all legal affairs at the company. Reporting to Jim Bankoff, Vox Media’s co-founder, chair, and CEO, Leung will lead a legal team that serves the company’s award-winning editorial brands, including Vox, The Verge, New York Magazine, and Eater, and its diverse lines of business.
As general counsel, Leung will lead Vox Media’s Legal & Business Affairs team, overseeing all legal functions across a broad range of practice areas, including intellectual property, privacy, first amendment issues, advertising and commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and more. He will also provide legal and strategic guidance across the company’s lines of business.
