Business Insider welcomes Jeff Rabb, as chief product officer

Posted

I’m thrilled to share that Jeff Rabb is joining Business Insider as our chief product officer!

Jeff comes to us from The Atlantic, where he was a critical part of the leadership team that transformed the business, surpassing 1 million subscribers and achieving profitability last year.

As chief product officer, Jeff led a large cross-functional group across product, engineering, design, data and more.

He also launched Atlantic Labs, a space dedicated to AI experimentation, where his team quickly shipped a range of new tools. (Fun fact: earlier in his career Jeff co-founded The Atavist, a digital magazine and publishing platform backed by Barry Diller and Eric Schmidt.)

Jeff's background in start-ups makes him innovative, fast-moving, and exactly what we need for the next phase of Business Insider. He is known for being unflappable, strategic and sharp — someone who inspires the best in a team to drive real progress. Here, he will bring together all three legs of the stool — editorial, business and product & tech — to create a sharpened product vision, accelerate our smart use of AI, and build up the start-up muscles that helped Business Insider become what it is today.

Finally, a huge thank you to our CTO, Harry Hope, for leading P&T during this transition! Harry has kept major initiatives moving and navigated change with his signature calm and focus. I’m excited for the partnership between Harry and Jeff — together, they’re going to be a (calm and unflappable) powerhouse team!

Please join me in giving Jeff a warm welcome (he joins May 27)!
