CNBC creates new business unit to drive multi-platform coverage of key business topics

Following the company’s successful July launch of its sports business vertical, CNBC Sport, CNBC President KC Sullivan today announced the formation of a Strategic Verticals & Audience Development unit responsible for creating, growing and commercializing both new and existing verticals centered around key content areas. In addition to sports, the new unit will expand CNBC’s coverage of wealth, serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals, women’s leadership, and introduce more verticals in the coming year.

Max Meyers, a CNBC veteran of almost 20 years, will lead the department as vice president & senior executive producer of strategic verticals & audience development.
