Commissioner Carr tells FCC to cease work ‘on any partisan or controversial matter’

Brendan Carr, the FCC’s senior Republican, is urging his fellow commissioners to stop working on any controversial issues until the transition to the Trump administration is complete. Carr, seen by some as the most likely candidate to chair the agency come January, took to X to articulate his stand-down message. “I want to congratulate President Trump on his historic election victory,” Carr wrote on the social platform owned by Elon Musk, arguably the President Elect’s biggest cheerleader. “The American people have sent a clear and decisive message to Washington. It is time to change course.”
