Announcement from Deputy Director, social, off-platform curation Travis Lyles, Universal News Desk editor Kenisha Malcolm and Head of Curation and Platforms Coleen O’Lear:

We are pleased to announce that Erica Snow will join The Post as editor of @postclimate, our new Instagram account dedicated to climate journalism.

She will curate an actionable and informative Instagram account that extends the reach of The Post’s climate and extreme weather coverage and amplifies how climate is changing how we live. Erica will partner with the Instagram team and reporters, editors, video editors and photographers in the Climate Department to amplify their work on Instagram and help readers better understand complex climate topics.

Erica comes to The Post from MarketWatch, where she served as a social media editor who specialized in growing the company’s Instagram following and expanding its following to a younger audience. She launched social-first projects, such as the brand’s first money challenge and Spring Clean Your Finances, and hosted a mobile video series called Finance 101.

Before that, Erica reported on police trials, midterm elections and student loans for the Wall Street Journal as a news intern in its Chicago bureau and as a Capitol Hill reporter for the Medill News Service.

Erica is from the Los Angeles area and is a proud Rams fan. A graduate of Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism, she teaches a class for the university’s high school journalism program about how to use social media as a reporting tool. In her free time, she loves to read, do Pilates and weave wall hangings. Erica will start on Oct. 3 and will relocate to Washington with her fiancé in the coming months.

Please join us in welcoming her to The Post.
