Hilary Schneider, chief executive officer of Shutterfly, joins American Journalism Project board of directors

The American Journalism Project has announced the appointment of Hilary Schneider, chief executive officer of Shutterfly, to its board of directors. In her new role, Schneider will share her expertise in business leadership, digital media and building sustainable business models with the venture philanthropy.

Schneider has more than 20 years of experience in consumer technology, and is an expert in building robust systems to drive sustainable growth and foster strong collaboration in organizations. A former business leader at newspaper and internet publisher Knight Ridder, Schneider’s personal passion for local news combined with her experience as a leader in technology will bring expertise to the American Journalism Project’s work to rebuild local news for the digital age.
