Louis-Cyrille Trebuchet will take up his role on July 3, succeeding Jérôme Jaroussie, who held the position since 2018.
After graduating from the Ecole Polytechnique, Trébuchet began his professional career at Radio France in 1998.
He oversaw the digitalization of production and broadcasting operations at France Info and France Inter, then managed the technical teams at the group’s channels in close collaboration with the editorial and programming departments.
In 2008, he left Radio France to set up a consulting business. For 13 years, he carried out consulting missions in digital transformation for companies in the news, entertainment and culture sectors including: the Opéra National de Paris, Centre National du Cinéma, Centre National de la Musique, France Médias Monde, France Télévisions, Public Sénat and Institut National de l’Audiovisuel.
In 2016, on assignment for France Télévisions, he directed the technical aspects of the launch of the France info TV channel.
After three years at INA (Institut national de l’audiovisuel), he ended his consulting activity in 2021 and joined France Télévisions as IT director, in charge of (technical) infrastructure, cyber security, user services, data and AI, and the information systems for finance, HR, marketing and communication.
‘‘I am delighted and honoured to join AFP, this French and international gem, both modern and steeped in history, and to contribute to a mission that is more essential than ever: to bear witness to what is happening in the world,’’ said Trébuchet.
