New Federal Communications Communication Chair Brendan Carr has named a pair of agency veterans as interim leaders of the two bureaus that most impact radio. Erin Boone has been named acting chief of the Media Bureau and Patrick Webre has been named the acting chief of the Enforcement Bureau.

Boone most recently has been overseeing the Media Bureau, in addition to her role as a senior adviser to Carr on issues related to the Media and Enforcement Bureaus. She previously served as Commissioner Nathan Simington’s chief of staff and wireless adviser. During her time at the FCC, she has also worked in the Enforcement and Wireline Bureaus. Earlier, Boone worked in the private sector at companies including T-Mobile, Clearwire and Level 3.

Webre has served in several other leadership roles at the Commission, including in the Media Bureau, Space Bureau, the International Bureau and the Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau. Before rejoining the Commission in 2017, he worked at Jenner & Block in Washington.
