Quartz names Alison Leuthold as VP of revenue strategy and ad operations

Quartz has appointed Alison Leuthold as its new vice president of revenue strategy and ad operations. Leuthold will be responsible for overseeing Quartz’s ad operations and media strategy teams, as well as help identify new products and partnership opportunities for monetization.

Leuthold joins Quartz from McClatchy, where she served as ​​the head of strategic planning and revenue operations spearheading efforts to standardize the company’s ad reporting and performance insights, creating consistency and transparency across 30 markets. Prior, she also held senior roles in sales strategy, partnerships and digital ad sales planning at NBCUniversal Media where she led the launch, strategy and execution for content and distribution partnerships including YouTube, BuzzFeed, Vox Media and Oath.

Leuthold starts at Quartz on Aug. 5, reporting to Natalie Diamond, and will be based in New York.
