Sougata Mukherjee named president of Triangle Business Journal

Sougata Mukherjee was named market president and publisher of Triangle Business Journal on Monday, effective immediately.

He succeeds Jason Christie, who recently was promoted into a new role as senior director of enterprise sales for American City Business Journals.

Mukherjee joined ACBJ in 1991 as managing editor in Raleigh before moving to Washington, D.C., as bureau chief for ACBJ to serve as small businesses’ eyes and ears on the federal government as it related to legislation, regulations and government programs.

He returned to Raleigh in 2000 as editor in chief of Triangle Business Journal.
