The Baltimore Banner taps Sharon Nevins as chief revenue officer to lead dynamic sales and marketing team

The Baltimore Banner today announced that it has tapped Sharon Nevins as chief revenue officer to lead a dynamic sales team for the startup local news publication. In her new role, Nevins will utilize her extensive relationships and deep sales and marketing experience to build out marketing solutions for their clients. Nevins is a seasoned sales and marketing professional who has led advertising and sales efforts at Baltimore Sun Media Group, Baltimore Magazine and WYPR.

Nevins has more than 25 years of experience across all aspects of the advertising and media industry. She most recently served as vice president of advertising at Baltimore Sun Media, where she led the sales and marketing team. Prior to the Sun, she served as director of sales and marketing for Baltimore Magazine, and also led efforts to increase membership and financial support as the director of marketing and fundraising for WYPR.

I’m excited to build out a media ecosystem that will offer clients  marketing solutions both onsite and off-site and ultimately help The Banner establish meaningful, long-term and mutually beneficial relationships with potential supporters and advertisers that are eager to support local news.”

At The Banner, Nevins will lead a team of marketing and sales executives and collaborate with The Banner’s strategic partners at WYPR and WJZ-TV.
