The Oregonian print, online newspaper moves to traditional broadsheet format

The Oregonian will revert to its traditional broadsheet newspaper format early next year, the publisher announced Thursday.

The move comes more than a decade after the newspaper became one of the first in the country to publish in a compact format. The change will take place in mid-January.

“This platform will better integrate local content from The Oregonian with national features and supplements from partner publications as we work to provide increased value for our loyal subscribers,” said John Maher, president of Oregonian Media Group.
