Somehow, Fox News host Tucker Carlson learned last month that the United States government knew he was trying to set up an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Carlson or people working for him had contacted intermediaries with connections to the Kremlin, according to reporting from Axios, and that outreach came to the government’s attention.
