Osteen Media Group (OMG) is proud to announce the addition of Jeffrey Hartley to its leadership team. A seasoned newspaper executive with decades of experience in circulation, marketing, advertising and publishing, Hartley steps into a pivotal role focused on accelerating digital advertising revenue and advancing the company’s transformation into a modern media powerhouse.

With a career defined by change leadership and a deep understanding of revenue growth strategies, Hartley brings an impressive track record to OMG. Most recently, he led his former market to three consecutive years of record-setting digital advertising growth, outperforming all other markets within the company.

“Jeffrey’s ability to combine legacy media experience with a forward-thinking digital strategy is exactly what we need as we grow,” said Clarice Touhey, regional publisher at Osteen Media Group. “His passion for training, innovation and revenue development aligns perfectly with our mission to evolve while maintaining our deep connection to the communities we serve.”

Hartley’s commitment to the digital transformation of local media is evident in his work spearheading projects such as digital subscription growth, pricing optimization and the rebranding of newspapers into comprehensive media companies. He holds a certificate in Digital Media Sales from the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and is currently pursuing additional certifications in SEO and social media advertising.

“I’m still learning something new every day,” said Hartley. “Helping traditional media salespeople embrace digital advertising is not just a job — it’s a passion. I’m thrilled to bring that energy to the Osteen Media team and continue building solutions that work for today’s advertisers.”

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Hartley has been honored as one of Editor and Publisher Magazine’s “Top 15 Over 50” executives in 2024. A family man at heart, he has been married to his wife for 34 years and is a proud father of four and grandfather of eight.

“We’re entering a new era at OMG, and Jeffrey is a key part of that journey,” said Hugh Osteen, COO and owner of Osteen Media Group. “His leadership, experience and enthusiasm for digital sales will play a crucial role in helping our teams adapt, grow and lead in today’s competitive media landscape.”

Hartley is based in Pierre, South Dakota, and will work across OMG properties to guide digital strategy, coach sales teams and help local advertisers reach their audiences more effectively.
