Veteran newsroom leader to become Omaha World-Herald executive editor

A veteran journalist and newsroom leader is bringing his passion for news, sports and digital journalism to the Omaha World-Herald, the media company’s parent corporation announced Tuesday.

Ben Doody, managing editor at digital sports information service Heavy and longtime leader at several Connecticut newsrooms, is slated to assume leadership of the Omaha World-Herald newsroom April 28 as the new executive editor.
