One thing about Donald Trump. He’s has told us all along exactly who he is and what he expected to be able to get away with.
“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK?” he famously claimed in a 2016 campaign rally. Since then, he’s found out just how accurately he was reading the room.
He hasn’t literally shot anyone, but he certainly has gotten away with everything from innumerable lies to constant grifting. And real harm to many, as Norman Ornstein points out in this new piece.
In a particular outrage — or what should be one — his administration last month endangered the lives of members of his own team, including the Secretary of State, as well as journalists in the White House press corps.
