Shane Hinton joins CBS Chicago’s weather team from Miami

CBS Chicago is adding meteorologist Shane Hinton to its First Alert Weather Team, bringing him to Chicago, Illinois, from sister station WFOR in Miami, Florida.

Hinton will make his first on-air appearance Saturday, Aug. 29, during CBS Chicago’s 5 a.m. newscast, though the station did not specify if that will be his regularly scheduled timeslot.

At CBS Miami, Hinton served as a weekday meteorologist and helped launch the station’s immersive AR/VR Weather Sphere, which uses augmented and virtual reality technology to enhance weather presentations.
