American Circulation Innovations (ACI), based in Long Beach, announced this week that it has named Charles Lee as the company’s Lifetime Achievement award winner.

“In the 42 years Charles has worked with us, he has contributed immeasurably to ACI’s success,” said Keith Somers, company president.  “Charles has been a tremendous example of ACI’s core values for quality work and strong job performance.”

Lee began his career with ACI in 1970, first working in distribution.  Over the years, he’s worked in other areas, including verification, warehouse, local deliveries and maintenance.

“Charles has been with us through some challenging and exciting times,” noted Bob Somers, ACI board member.  “He’s made a significant impact on our company’s overall success.”

“Over the years, ACI has delivered more than just newspapers and flyers,” he added.  “We’ve delivered cereal boxes, shampoo, food…even roses – with thorny stems – ouch!”

“I’m glad I could help in so many roles,” said Lee, noting that over the years he’s witnessed the dramatic growth of the company.

Since the time when Lee joined ACI, the company has grown from a local southern California distribution company to the nation’s largest multi-channel delivery provider, serving major newspaper and directory publishers in such diverse markets as Southern California, Atlanta, South Florida and Chicago.

ACI, headquartered in Long Beach, CA, and founded in 1965, is the nation’s leading provider of multi-channel distribution services.  ACI is the only company that offers publishers a full selection of delivery services, including paid home delivery, single-copy, TMC/niche distribution, Sunday Select targeted delivery and their trademarked “Do No Harm” launch strategy.
