Elias Isquith joins New York Times Opinion

Posted

I’m delighted to announce that Elias Isquith is joining Opinion Audio as a researcher on “The Ezra Klein Show.” In this role, he’ll be responsible for pitching guest ideas, compiling research and editing episodes, with a special focus on politics and policy.

This is a return to journalism for Elias after several years in the nonprofit world. He comes to The Times from the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, where he was an editor and writer and, before that, the Open Society Foundations. In his previous journalism life, he was an editor and reporter at Salon and an executive editor at the digital media company Cafe. He is a graduate of Bard College with a Bachelor of Science in political science and human rights.

This range of experience makes Elias a perfect fit for this role: He has more than a decade of editing experience across print and audio, he’s covered politics, and he’s managed the messaging of organizations working to change politics. In an election year like this, “The Ezra Klein Show” is so lucky to have someone with Elias’s subject matter expertise, unique perspective and editorial touch.

Please join me in welcoming him to Opinion.
