By: Staff reports WALL ST. JOURNAL LAUNCHES WINE SITE
Site Is Spin-off Of Popular Print Column
The Wall Street Journal launched wine.wsj.com Thursday. The site is
largely based on the newspaper's 'Tastings' column, written by Dorothy
Gaiter and John Brecher, that runs every Friday in the Weekend Journal
section.
The site includes daily editorial content and advice on wines, along
with live chats. The exclusive wine merchant is wine.com of Napa,
Calif.
Neil F. Budde, vice president, editor, and publisher of WSJ.com, says
the site combines content, commerce, and community.
The new site puts the Journal up against another newspaper
company. New York Times Digital operates WineToday.com.
