By: E&P Staff 85 more radio and 15 new television stations have added AP's Online Video Network and MSN player technology to their Web sites.
OVN affiliates can use their own content to leverage AP breaking news video and national advertising sales managed by Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions, thanks to the recent release of the local video contribution feature. In addition, testing is underway for affiliates to sell local advertising to generate additional ad revenue.
"AP's online video network offers a powerful content solution for AP
members who are looking to attract more visitors to their site with
breaking news, the latest from around the nation and world, and
investigations from some of the top journalists in the business" said
Kevin Roach, Executive Producer for Online Video said in a statement. "We find that this dynamic, constantly updated content keeps visitors coming back more often. At the same time, it can generate new station revenue with no upfront investment."
Powered by MSN technology and featuring exclusive AP content produced
specifically for the Web, the Online Video Network provides high-quality, in-depth reports from the world's largest newsgathering agency.
