2004 EPpy Awards Entry Period Opens

By: E&P Staff Entries for the 9th Annual EPpy Awards are now being accepted at EPpyAwards.com.

Sponsored by Editor & Publisher and Mediaweek magazines, the EPpy Awards honor the best online services presented by media-affiliated companies, including newspapers, television, and radio. The finalists will be announced in April, with winners honored at the Interactive Media Conference and Trade Show in Atlanta on May 12, 2004.

The entry period will close at midnight on Jan. 12, 2004.

The 2004 contest will present 30 awards, including the reinstatement of the Distinguished Service Award to an individual for his or her contribution to interactive media. Categories include best newspaper site, best TV site, and best radio site -- with categories for small and large outlets. Awards are also given for news, sports, business, entertainment, design, classifieds, and other online services.
