Nearly 75% of adults in the U.S. — about 207 million people — had received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, according to the most recent data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That’s up from 193 million people in the beginning of August and 184 million people in the beginning of July. Even though the percentage of U.S. adults who have received the COVID shot has been growing, the rollout has highlighted a segment of the population that didn’t receive much press coverage before the pandemic: vaccine-hesitant individuals.
