8-City Road Tour to Promote Web Advertising

Posted
By: To promote the power of Internet advertising, the Online Publishers Association (OPA) kicks off "Eyes on the Internet 2003," an eight-city road tour, in Chicago next week.

The road show aims to educate advertisers and ad agencies about the latest research while spotlighting effective online ad campaigns. OPA wants to show "how far our industry has come from the old days when banners defined the format and click-throughs defined success for online advertising," Executive Director Michael Zimbalist said in a statement.

Each stop on the tour will include invitation-only breakfast events and individual meetings with marketers and agencies.

The tour is sponsored by Knight Ridder Digital's Real Cities Network, New York Times Digital, Tribune Interactive, CondeNet, ESPN.com, and weather.com.
