A New Publisher for 'Press-Enterprise' in Riverside, Calif.

By: E&P Staff Ronald Redfern has been named publisher and chief executive officer of The Press-Enterprise in Riverside, Calif., effective July 5.

Redfern has served as president of the Florida Communications Group, which includes The Tampa Tribune, WFLA-TV (NBC) and TBO.com, for Media General Inc. since 2003. Before that, he he served in senior management roles at Freedom Communications, Inc., including senior vice president of sales for Freedom's Metro Division, and president and division president of Freedom's interactive business.

Redfern succeeds David Cornwall, who retired in January.
