A New Sports Editor for 'Naples (Fla.) Daily News'

By: E&P Staff Greg Hardwig has been named sports editor of the Naples (Fla.) Daily News.

Hardwig, 39, has served as acting editor for the past seven months. He joined the Daily News as a sports reporter in 1997. Before that, he worked as a sports writer at the Southern Illinoisan from 1990 to 1997.

Hardwig replaces Tom Rife, who has left the paper to pursue a career in teaching.
