A Recovering Roger Ebert Picks His Favorite 2007 Films

By: E&P Staff Roger Ebert, who resumed movie reviewing this year as he recovered from jaw-cancer complications, has chosen his 10 best films of 2007.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning Chicago Sun-Times/Universal Press Syndicate columnist picked "Juno" as his favorite, followed by "No Country for Old Men," "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead," "Atonement," "The Kite Runner," "Away From Her," "La Vie en Rose," "The Great Debaters," "Into the Wild," and "Once."

Ebert's choices for best foreign films: "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly," "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days," "Lust, Caution," "The Orphanage," and "Vanaja."

For best animated films: "Beowulf," "Persepolis," and "Ratatouille."

For best documentaries: "In the Shadow of the Moon," "The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters," "Lake of Fire," "No End in Sight," "Pete Seeger: The Power of Song," and "Sicko."
