By: E&P Staff Proving that old comedy routines are timeless, this afternoon's briefing for the Washington press corps at the White House opened with a kind of homage to Abbott & Costello's classic baseball schtick.
Press Secretary Scott McClellan: "Good afternoon. I want to begin with one world leader call from earlier today. The President had a good conversation with President Hu of China."
Q "Who?"
Q "Who?"
McClellan: "Here we go." (Laughter.) "You all need to go home and pack, and get ready for the trip. "
