By: E&P Staff ABC News has entered into a partnership with Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, as well as four other top U.S. journalism schools, with the goal of training and mentoring students.

In September, ABC plans to open a multimedia bureau at ASU that will allow students the chance to produce content for ABC News' digital and broadcast platforms, among them ?Good Morning America,? ?World News with Charles Gibson,? and ?Nightline.?

The four other schools entering into the ABC partnership are Syracuse University, the University of Florida, the University of North Carolina, and the University of Texas.

?We're thrilled to be working with ABC News on this exciting and innovative program,? Cronkite Dean Christopher Callahan said in a statement. ?The ABC News program is truly a win-win proposition ?- the student journalists will enjoy unparalleled opportunities by working with one of the world's leading news organizations, and ABC will receive smart, original content from some of the nation's great young journalists.?

Each ABC News campus bureau will boast a team of paid student staffers and a bureau chief. Representatives from both the college and ABC News will oversee the operations.
