"Doonesbury" by Garry Trudeau of Universal Press Syndicate was the "People's Pick" for best print comic, while "This Modern World" by the self-syndicated Tom Tomorrow was About.com's favorite in that category.
"The Borowitz Report" by Andy Borowitz of Creators Syndicate was About.com's choice in the satirical-news category.
And Mark Fiore's self-syndicated political animations were About.com's favorite in the Web-cartoon category, while Charles Pugsley Fincher's "The Illustrated Daily Scribble" finished a close second behind JibJab.com as the "People's Pick" in that category.
