ACN Launches Local Web Site for Columbus, Ohio

By: E&P Staff American Community Newspapers (ACN) launched a Web site in Columbus, Ohio that serves as the destination for 22 community weekly newspapers in the area.

ColumbusLocalNews.com focuses on local news and information relevant to residents in Columbus and its surrounding communities. The Web site covers breaking news about city councils, school districts, high school and youth sports, local businesses, and other topics including emergency information. Readers are welcome to submit content including photos.

In addition, the Web site links to SubdivisionInfo.com, a real estate site for Columbus home buyers.

"We are glad to provide the Columbus community with a new digital resource that delivers the localized news and information our readers and visitors rely on," Gene M. Carr, chairman and CEO of ACN, said in a statement. "As one of our ongoing growth initiatives, we will continue to enhance our complementary online products in order to increase the value proposition for both local advertisers and readers."

ACN publishes three daily and 83 weekly newspapers in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Dallas, Northern Virginia, and Columbus.
