Media executive Pam Siddall has been appointed President of Advance Central Services, Inc. (ACSI), a shared services company owned by Advance Publications, Inc.
Siddall has held a number of important roles since joining the Advance family in 2010 as publisher of The Birmingham News in Alabama. She subsequently served as founding president of Advance Central Services Alabama, and most recently as executive vice president of Advance Local.
After graduating from Columbus State University in Georgia, Siddall began her career first as a financial analyst for a family-owned holding company with interests in real estate, retail and manufacturing and then as comptroller for a major manufacturing company. She entered the newspaper industry with The McClatchy Co. as the chief financial officer of the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, eventually becoming publisher there and then at The Wichita Eagle, before joining Advance.
Advance Central Services, Inc. provides critical functions that support the goals, objectives and missions of Advance Local’s group of local media companies, ACS local business units and more than two dozen newspapers across the United States. The company’s services include strategic sourcing, finance and accounting, human resources, technology solutions, production and facilities services and circulation.
“This is an incredibly exciting and challenging time for the media industry and ACSI has played a strong role in helping the Advance affiliated entities evolve in this fast-paced and dynamic digital landscape,” said Siddall. “I look forward to building upon the successes of this company and continuing to support quality journalism by enhancing the efforts of all of our clients.”
