AEJMC to Hold Annual Convention Next week

By: E&P Staff The Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication (AEJMC) will hold its annual national convention in Washington next week.

The conference will examine how the future of journalism is emerging from the point of view of the generation brought up online and surrounded by social media. Participants will explore what impact these trends have for contemporary media.

The American University's School of Communication will be one of the convention's leading participants. Professors will include Jane Hall (Fox News Channel "Inside the Media" panelist), Kathryn Montgomery (author of "Generation Digital: Politics, Commerce, and Childhood in the Age of the Internet"), Chuck Lewis (founder of the Center for Public Integrity) and Matt Nisbet (author of "Documentaries on a Mission: How Nonprofits are Making Movies for Public Engagement").
