By: E&P Staff The Reuters Foundation is hosting a "Fighting HIV/AIDS" panel debate for journalists Nov. 10 in New York City.
One of the five speakers will be Laurie Garrett, who won a Pulitzer Prize as a medical and science writer for Newsday of Melville, N.Y. The author is now a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Among the other panelists are Zackie Achmat, a South African AIDS activist; and Dr. Mark Dybul, deputy U.S. global AIDS coordinator. Moderating will be Reuters Chairman Niall FitzGerald.
The event runs from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Reuters offices at 3 Times Square.
