Digital workers at Al Jazeera America voted Tuesday on whether to go union after the company declined to voluntarily recognize such a move.

“We asked for voluntary recognition, they didn’t agree and so the election is today,” said Gregg Levine, the digital news editor of Al Jazeera America.
