AlfaQuest Unveils Esprit CTP for Smaller Papers

By: E&P Staff Output systems vendor alfaQuest Technologies Inc. in Rolling Meadows, Ill., has introduced the Esprit violet platesetter as a quality low-cost design that meets community and suburban newspapers' budgets and production needs and can serve as a back-up imager in larger single-line platerooms.

Incorporating imaging technology from alfaQuest's FasTrak and NewsXpress computer-to-plate solutions, Esprit is rated at 50 plates per hour, with 1-mil repeatability at five resolutions, from 1016 to 1800 dip.

Suitable for "table-top" installation or configuration with its own, option stand, the light, small-footprint imager runs on standard 110V current and operates within the range of standard office temperatures and humidity. Its laser is warranteed for five years.
