All-color Indian Daily Adds 15 Manugraph Presses

Mumbai-based Manugraph India Ltd. has sold and delivered 15 Cityline Express presses to Jagati Publications Group for The Sakshi Daily, Hyderabad, to extend circulation and readership of the 2-year-old paper in the Telugu region.

Each press consists of two towers and a F222 folder. Expected to be in production shortly, the presses will have a running speed of 35,000 cph, web widths of 33.46 inches, and cutoffs of 21.5 inches, and will be equipped with Manugraph Autopasters and QuadTech registration systems.

Published in Telugu, one of the most widely read languages in South India, the Sakshi Daily's 1.2 million copies (16-page broadsheets with a four-page tabloid insert) is produced entirely in color, and is printed at 23 sites in 23 editions. The order will bring the number of press lines producing the newspaper to 46 throughout all districts in Andhra Pradesh.

Manugraph, which manufactures a full line of singlewide presses and folders, also perates a U.S. subsidiary, Manugraph DGM Inc., in Elizabethville, Pa.
