All Papers Need Advertorial, But Don't Go Duping Your Readers

Last April, I wrote in this column about a disturbing trend in some newspapers of running paid-for advertisements that look almost indistinguishable – if distinguishable at all – from editorial. It was with great regret that I had to report that The Daily Telegraph was one of the main offenders.

Alas, my piece seems not to have made any difference. Far from it.

Ive seen these. This is mostly from a company called Adblade if I know what you're talking about. Those ads look like a story but they are really ads. I just saw them below articles on Christian Science Monitor. Now adblade does have the word "Advertisement" above which is way better then Google's "sponsored" which sounds less like an ad. Outbrain has links below articles but they aren't labeled as either...now thats a scam! They should be labeling paid links as advertising!
